  • Mask

it's interesting how sickness can bring out the person we try to hide away.  Normally when we are sick we can be all those things that we think we've somehow conquered. God clearly shows us that we are less than perfect through this. I kind of like it actually.. it's like we're all at a masquerade and it's the end of the night and we get to take off our masks and show everyone the real us, imperfections and all.

my mask is off and God still loves me anyway

  • my first deer

So I had my first run in with a deer. She came out of no where and I couldn't stop quick enough. The very first thing that came to mind was, oh man I hoped I killed it because I do not have anything in this car that would if it's still alive. Fortunatly for me and unfortunatly for the deer, I did. My car is a little worse for wear but I'm ok. When I spoke to my mom later and told her what had happened, she asked my where I was going that I hit a deer. I laughed and said Mom I live out in the middle of nowhere, I was going home. So now I'm going to be paranod about driving for a little while.

  • My grandma is really amazing.... for alot of reasons. She was a self taught nurse. She never went to school for it but was an apprentice of sorts and learned how to take care of people. Well today I sliced my finger open probably deep enough to warrant stitches. I however did not have to because my grandmother mended my finger without a needle. It was impressive. She also hugged me as i sobbed and sat me down after I thought I might pass out from seeing my own blood. I felt like i was 10 again :) Grandmas are great :)
